Ashtanga yoga is the best full-body physical workout you and your loved ones will ever experience, along with wonderful meditative benefits. I teach in the traditional Mysore style with hands-on assists, great for both beginners and for those who already have an established practice since you only progress into the practice as you are able. We will  focus on  breathing and correct alignment, both not always taught properly in classes. My name is Allen Barkus and I've studied exclusively since 2004 with Manju Jois, authorized to teach into the intermediate, second series. My experience includes teaching athletes at the University of Pennsylvania, teaching yoga teachers, working with people recovering from surgeries, cancer and injuries. I have also helped people lose weight and work with children.
